Irina Matinian was born in Armenian family in Georgia, lived in Russia and Spain, travelled Europe. She now resides in the United States. Living among different cultures, architecture and languages, enriched her experience, and inspired many of her paintings. This compilation of cultures is influential to Irina’s style, as could be seen in many of her artwork. Her artwork demonstrate her observations of inner world in changing surroundings and their inherent journeys of transformation.
There is a delicacy to Irina’s paintings, which, together with the rich textures and colors of her paintings, makes for atmospheric observations of the world around.
